The left-field pop Nathan Jenkins, AKA Bullion, unravels on 'Affection' captures the producer and songwriter at a pivotal moment of relocation, returning to London after many years, leading him to confront many aspects of himself, lacing his tracks with meditations on masculinity, vulnerability, and intimacy. Bullion takes on these aspects of connecting with others through the album's bracing, enigmatic, but ultimately uplifting pop. The tone of the album is fleshed out with features from Panda Bear, Charlotte Adigéry, and previous collaborator Carly Rae Jepsen.
