Just seven months after the release of his debut album “Exposition”, this brand-new recording “My Way” is an indicator of the rapid rise of this charming and engaging young pianist, social media star, and presenter – tracing his journey from “Gen Z’s Classical Star” (leading German feuilleton Sueddeutsche Zeitung) to becoming the breakout pianist of his generation. Classic FM recently included Louis Philippson as the only German artist on the roster for 2025 in their popular series showcasing “Top 30 Artists Under 30”, whilst German broadcaster BR-Klassik remarked of him: “With Louis Philippson, classical music has found a new rockstar” – a statement underscored by his sold-out 12-date debut tour in May 2025 and his outstanding performances at the “Night of the Proms” arena shows in winter 2024. “My Way” was recorded with the MDR Radio Symphony Orchestra, under in-demand conductor Ben Palmer, and blends Louis Philippson’s original compositions with new arrangements of well-known classical and film music themes for solo piano and for piano with orchestra. Among the new works are the viral hit “Beethoven Virus” for piano and orchestra, “Show Waltz” for piano and orchestra, “Supernova” for piano, soprano and orchestra, along with several solo piano pieces. Reimagined classics include the rousing medley “Dancing Bee” for piano and orchestra, Hans Zimmer’s “Cornfield Chase” for piano and small ensemble, and a reinterpretation of themes from Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” entitled “Vivaldi Storm”, all showcasing the phenomenal talents of this astute and versatile young artist.
