Curled and roughened at the edges, long forgotten, there comes a time when we lift them up again like a treasure and rediscover them: there are stories to be told. He is a Senior Lecturer in Music at the University of Westminster. In addition to extensive touring, he also produces alongside David Sheppard as Ellis Island.

Sound Records and releases his spoken-word electro-pop project The Attendant together with Ian Button (Go Kart Mozart, Death in Vegas) on his label Faux Lux. The band's debut album, "Everything Changes, Everything Stays the Same," was completed. As the title suggests, the band is rooted in the past, yet undeniably looking forward to the future. "Unsent Letters" stems from a similar context: It contains songs that Astor wrote during his time with The Loft but never played—along with songs from his forty-year career that are finally seeing the light of day.
