The 6-page deluxe DVD digipack contains the acclaimed new documentary »This Search For Meaning« on Blu-ray audio and DVD, two audio CDs of »This Is What You Wanted – Live In Mexico City« and the bonus track edition of their current studio album »Never Let Me Go« with the cover of the Tears For Fears hit »Shout« as a bonus track, as well as a poster booklet.

The band's new documentary, "This Search For Meaning," directed by award-winning Scottish filmmaker Oscar Sansom, was released last year. The film is an intimate and insightful exploration of the ideas behind the lyrics and themes of Placebo's songs, while also tracing their development as a band and as people. It's a fearless, honest, and open exploration of the creative process and the rock 'n' roll lifestyle, as well as its inevitable consequences.

Thoughtful and insightful interviews with the band members underscore Placebo's ongoing socio-cultural curiosity and musical journey—a quest that continues today in their chart-topping albums and sold-out live arena performances worldwide. Within the band's presence and orbit are contributions from other prominent figures in the art world who admire or have been inspired by Placebo. These entertaining and often emotional discussions are presented as a single, yet multifaceted, overheard conversation—including Shirley Manson (Garbage), Robbie Williams, Yungblud, Rebecca Lucy Taylor (Self Esteem), Joe Talbot (IDLES), and contemporary artist Stuart Semple. The result is honest and enriching—it conveys the sense that we are all trying to find our place in this world and, hopefully, make sense of it.

The film's entire plot is built around incredible and entirely new performances of Placebo's newest songs—from "Never Let Me Go"—recorded at Britain's legendary Twickenham Film Studios. There, in Peter Jackson's "Get Back," the Beatles are seen composing a new album. Furthermore, the film is interspersed with archive footage of the band and exclusive, never-before-seen material spanning their entire career, including their creative and personal collaboration with David Bowie and his lasting influence.

The collection also includes the band's 2023 performance in Mexico City, recorded as they toured the world in support of their new album "Never Let Me Go," playing to over 1.5 million fans.
