On March 13, 2026, WASTELAND CLAN will release their new album "A New Era." The album title says it all, because with a new line-up, a renewed sound, and a new label deal with Lucky Bob Records, the band, whose (post)apocalyptic metal transcends genre boundaries, has indeed ushered in a new era in their band history. The band originally started in 2015 under the name Dying Gorgeous Lies with the album "First World Breakdown" (Massacre Records), after having previously released a full-length album and an EP independently. Since the aforementioned "First World Breakdown" album, WASTELAND CLAN has continuously developed their distinctive post-apocalyptic setting. On their tours with Sepultura and Testament through USA/Canada), across Eastern Europe including Russia together with Suicidal Angels, a Russia tour with Destruction, and further tours and support shows all over Europe with bands like Arch Enemy, Cavalera Conspiracy, Overkill, Dirkschneider, Sepultura, etc., the band built a steadily growing international fanbase. Now, three years after the last release "The End Of Time" (2023, Massacre Records) — which was recorded with an entirely changed line-up, of which, apart from band mastermind Mashl, only drummer Stony616 is also part of the current lineup — WASTELAND CLAN returns with "A New Era" and a fresh lineup. In addition to the two already mentioned musicians, drummer Stony616 and Flavoured Gin World Champion Mashl Jay Morningstar, the new line-up also includes singer and amateur kickbox/K1 world champion Jessabell Blake, bassist Stormrider (ex-Arabesque, session work with, among others, Tommy Aldridge, Virgil Donati, Stevie Salas), and guitarist Scorpion. This lineup has already proven itself in support shows for Rage and Blutgott, as well as at several festivals such as Rage Against Racism and the Rock das Ding Festival. The new album, “A New Era,” consists of 10 tracks in which the members of WASTELAND CLAN fight their way through the wasteland of their post-apocalyptic world, aiming to unite the inhabitants of the Wastelands through metal, fight tyrants, and protect the weak. The lyrics of the songs, which the band always writes together, deal with serious themes from the "real" world, which the WASTELAND CLAN transfers into the post-apocalyptic scenario they have created. Social and societal challenges, standing up against injustice, tyrants, or simply the struggle for (emotional) survival are timeless; they have always existed and likely never will change. By creating their post-apocalyptic world and the corresponding stage show, the band presents these themes in an abstract, entertaining way, but the messages are conveyed just as powerfully as in a current news report. This is particularly evident in the album titles 'Unleash The Demon,' 'Jekyll and Hyde,' and 'Stronger Than Before,' in which singer Jessabell Blake delves deeply into experiencing trauma, flashbacks, intrusions, and the complex aftermath such experiences bring, processing her own experiences. The humorous 'Wasted,' on the other hand, absolutely encourages loud sing-alongs — as it is the ideal soundtrack for having a cold beer during combat breaks in the post-apocalyptic wasteland. A New Era' was recorded at Sirius Sound Lab in Hof under the direction of Oliver Schmidt and at Lucky Bob Studio in Leverkusen with Jean Bormann as producer.
