Isis - In the Absence Of Truth (Black) 2LP

Continuing with the Ipecac ISIS reissues: "In The Absence Of Truth" is the band's 2006 album, newly remastered by James Plotkin. The 2LP 140g vinyl comes in a tip-on gatefold sleeve in two versions: standard black vinyl and an indie-exclusive edition in eco-mix red. The album builds upon the band's previous release, *Panopticon*, and further explores lead vocalist Aaron Turner's clean vocals (though his earlier, more screaming and growling techniques are still present). Musically, the album is dynamic, ranging from expansive ambient soundscapes to almost tribal drum rhythms. Isis retained their signature long songs; at nearly 65 minutes, *In the Absence of Truth* is their longest album to date. Despite the band's inactivity over a decade ago, their influence on metal remains palpable, and its sales figures continue to place it among Ipecac's top-selling albums.
