The follow-up to his kaleidoscopic debut, We Are Rising is Ryan Lott’s sophomore release under the Son Lux moniker and his successful attempt at crafting an album in only one month. Having answered the call from NPR’s annual RPM Challenge, Lott ran headlong into what would become an exquisitely arranged album of classical notions, modern electronics, unusual pop and transcendent emotion.
